Becky, I just measured another "white" gourd I grew this summer. I planted some egg gourd seeds from last year, that had cross-pollinated. What I got was one plant that had round/oblong, more round than oblong, that kinda looked liked small white sugar pumpkins. The gourds are completely smooth like and egg gourd. The gourd is 17 inches in diameter and nine inches from stem to blossom end. I only got three of these gourds since the plant came out late, and they still are not completely dry, but another week should take care of that. I didn't hand pollinate them this year either, so who knows what the seeds would be like, but if you want a few let me know. I was thinking of painting one or two to look like small jack-o-lanterns, but I know I will open at least one to get seeds from it, as I'd like to plant some and see if I can get any gourds like these again. So, if you want a few seeds, let me know, but as I said, it will be a least a week before I have any available. And of course I don't know how many seeds are inside. :) Lillian Kepp thekepps@bright.net
