I must beg to differ.  If you violate your pets' trust by putting Hab
powder in their food you are engaging in cruelty.  If you use a natural,
harmless method to avert behaviour, you are not.  If spraying a
chile-water(whew! got it on-topic) mixture on your plants to keep your pets
away is cruel then a skunk is the cruelest animal of all.
