OK, this one is a stretch...

I will be spending Valentine's Day in Tupper Lake, NY. I barely expect
hot, but what good places are there to eat within a reasonable radius?

 Thanks!

I lived in the Adirondaks for three years. Of course that was 15 years ago.
Its a bit of a trip, but try some of the places in Saranac Lake and Lake
Placid. The Hotel Saranac is a hotel that is run by students from my alma
mater Paul Smith's College. The Culinary Students are in charge of the food.
The Dew Drop Inn (every town seems to have at least one) in Saranac Lake as
well as the Belvedre were my favorites for good food and drink. Lots of
little cafes in both Saranac and Lake Placid, with plenty of drinking
establishments too. (54 between Paul Smith's College and Lake Placid, made it
to 17 before passing out one weekend)

In Tupper Lake there used to be Bob's Steak House which was quite good. Other
than that I draw a blank.

Good Luck!
