Since I bought a house last fall, I finally have some land to plant some
chiles in. That container thing at the apartment just didn't fly.
Anyway, it seems that most of us like to start our little hot bundles of
joy from seed. I was wondering if anyone out there has seen any plans
for a grow stand out there, hopefully on the 'net. I can lay it out
myself, but if there's something out there pre-planned, that'd save me
from actually thinking. :-) I've thumbed through the Burpee seed
starter book, which has one made from PVC pipe, but it looks a bit...
awkward. And I'm certainly not warm and fuzzy about spending $300 for
what appears to be a glorified utility cart from their catalog. Any
pointers are appreciated.
Also, has anyone seen -- from experience -- if those "grow spectrum"
fluorescents are any better than a warm/white mix? I know there's been
some talk lately that you're just as well off with the mixed bulb types
than with only wide spectrums...
