Question (actually more of a concern) about the introduction of old
drywall into garden soil to amend the soil or introduce mineral
substances to the soil:

Depending on the age of the drywall, where it was originally used and
how it was finished...could there be a risk of introducing undesirable
chemicals (such as lead from lead based paints) into the soil?
