Here in S. Cal., I have found that 2 gal pots  work quite well, but
during the heat of summer  need to be watered every day (without mulch)
or  every other day (with multch).  I pick em up for about .95 cents.
apice.  The larger pot you have, the less often you need to water.  If
you do live in a hot area, I suggest you stay away from black pots.  I
have found that the black pots require about 2x the amount of watering.
