Since I freeze large quantities of Habs when they're in season locally, I
usually only buy small quantities of supermarket Habs for fresh consumption.
The Albertson's here in Lompoc had them in December for $3.99 lb.  I bought
some last week and the price had gone up to $8.99 lb!  The heat is
undependable.  I've munched on Serranos and the Albertsons Habs side by side
with the Serranos topping the heat category.  So I'm spending a good bit of
time out back with my plants giving them the ol' pep talk to 'fire' them up.
