Most of the grocery store salsas are ghastly. The best salsa here used to
be at Mariscos (they no longer make it) leaving only one that's good-- the
hot salsa at Ranchway. There are just plenty of mediocre ones. The worst
salsa I ever ate was at a fancy resort in Phoenix. It was tomato sauce
with parsley minced in it and lots of sugar. A chile might have been waved
over it but I doubt that the chile was ever put in.
