[CH] Black mold?

I noticed when I cut into some of my Red Savina pods last year, there was a
nasty black moldy-looking growth inside them, even though the fruits were
absolutely beautiful and untouched on the outside.

Got the same thing this year, and I was wondering if anyone else has
experienced the same thing. It seems to affect only habaneros and is not
present in all the fruit from the same plants. How the heck does it get
there? How can I prevent it?
