AFAIK, perception of the flavour of cilantro is genetically determined. Like being able to curl your tongue laterally. Some people can, some can't. To us cilantro-haters, the stuff smells and tastes like the industrial-grade disinfectant/deodorant used to clean garbage rooms in large shopping centres. I've often wondered it must taste like to the other half of the world... jbc
