somewhere i read that germination could be encouraged by use of "scarification". that is, lightly crushing the seed to cause some minute cracking of the hard seed coat before soaking. has anyone tried this low-tech approach? success rate? how do the numbers compare to the "bleach additive" method? regards peter g
