You've been cheated. Mirasol is specifically listed in the literature as
"pointing toward the sun"; they are supposed to be pointing upwards when
mature (and I think even the name roughly translates to mean this). I know
the Mirasol seeds sold by Shephards Seed Co. produce plants which are true
to type, but no idea which other vendors also sell true ones.

This is indeed a big problem, and I for one do find it disappointing to get
seeds/plants which are not true to type, especially when they were
purchased from a regular commercial source. The odd rogue or cross of
course can always occur, though in my experience it is quite rare in seeds
that were properly saved (meaning the whole collection process). But when
several/all of a batch are identically wrong, then you begin to wonder just
exactly what is happening and why those plants/seeds were sold at all under
a wrong name.
