Definitely not; in fact, I find that I am more sensitive to black pepper as
a seasoning than I am to most chiles (unless of course I've whipped up a
batch of four-habaneros-to-one-tomato salsa.) Perhaps it has to do with the
flavoring, too... I notice black pepper as a flavoring in food much more
than I do chile powders.
