Or you could try Blue Bonnet (on Broadway just north of I-25). Again, great mexican food, good prices. Or, try the Table Mesa Inn in Golden - a relative newcomer to town - nouveau California/New Mexico cuisine (VERY tasty, not hot) kind of pricy. Decent tap selection. Or try Tony Rigatoni's in Golden. Really good Italian food in a "homy" atmosphere (it's in an old house). Or you could go to Chipotle Grill (I believe there are many locations now - 1 by Applejack in Wheatridge is probably the closest) the original location is down by DU. Huge burritos, miniscule prices, incredible flavors packed into those tortillas!

Thanks! I don't even have a four day weekend as an excuse. More like a 6 day work week. ;-) I don't think I've tried either of the Mexican places, we'll have to try both of them. I agree about Tony Rigatoni's -- my daughter and her roomies suggested we go there (and take them of course!) -- it was really good stuff.

There's a little hole-in-the-wall burrito place on (I think) Golden Road. I can't remember what it's called, but about all they have are huge burritos for about $5-6. They in chicken, steak, pork, veggie, combo, with rice and black beans. Not particularly hot, but really good.

On the home chile front -- my poor Red Savina is kind of sad (I think it's ready for an end to winter.) Will it hurt anything if I brutalize it even more by chopping it back further this time of year? I have several stems which never quite got any new leaves on them after it shed last fall. The other weird thing is that what did have leaves also had blooms all winter. It's even been setting peppers, but they never get bigger than peas. I decided to taste one, they're a little wimpy. Or maybe I just need to eat half a dozen to really feel it.
