However, my tomatoes all were 7 feet high with little fruit all summer. 
I've also had experiences with potted hab plants that were big, bushy and
full of blossoms but yielded NO fruit, presumably due to excessive
nitrogen.

Byron, forgot to mention, some years ago I put two Early Girl tomatos in
one 5 gallon pot, every two weeks hit them with Rapid Gro, left them in
the house, believe it or not, in nine months they grew to the ceiling,
(8') and produced 3 tomatos.  That's what cured me from using water
solubles
