Hi C-H's,
I don't know whether Byron Bromley posted this by accident, as we have gone
over it privately a number of times, but in case anyone else is interested:

>Are pH papers with a 0.1 increment available to the average person ?

The smallest error range I have seen quoted for pH paper is +/- 0.25pH
units. Fisher Scientific (www.fishersci.com) sells packs of three rolls for
$16.43 in the pH range 6.0-8.5 (Cat. # A983).

To measure pH to within +/- 0.1 units in the field you need a hand held
meter which costs about $500.
Auto temperature compensating probes are about $100.
Half a litre of buffer solution (you'll need 2) is about $20.
(All $'s US)
                     Regards, Cameron.
