Mark,
I didn't answer yours and other letters originally
because I was overwhelmed and jolted. Some of you guys
should learn tact, others are hopeless, then some are
either downright HOT or sweet, just like peppers, I
LOVE YALL!

Mark, I understand your comment above, but your logic
defies me...
What's wrong with feeling GOOD? It is not trivial.
Today the families of the Colorado victims issued a
statement requesting NO DONATIONS but letters and
cards welcome. hmnnn...
I think we need to realize that SUPPORT is often much
deeper than $.
THIS IS MY SUPPORT... but you guys obviously don't get
it!
ART is a way of communicating- my garden is a
happening, yes, with its silly yellow ribbons and
lights!
My garden is in a PUBLIC place, hundreds pass it each
day. My ART is a happening, an antiquated 60's term
perhaps, but you know what? We all need to heal here!
We are ALL victims of this recent tragedy,and it could
be your school next, your kids, your chile garden,
favorite restaurant, a hotluck...MAYBE we should think
about it and make people who can do something about it
THINK. Who are these people? Parents? Legistators?
Citizens?
OFF TOPIC OH MY...
These lists are educational and entertaining. They
are a microcosm of our social world. Well, sometimes
you have to be human and bend the rules when war in
the cities or abroad are tearing us apart, post "off
topic" and say, "hey man anybody else feelin this???"
I'm not a chilehead alien, I'm really human!
Maybe you got to put the hot sause aside and say, WOW
I'm really lucky to have 1000 varieties, but is this
really important today?
Seems like whenever I say something that is a little
off topic and heartfelt-even if it has gardening or
chile growing overtones-I am criticized here. I 've
gotten a lot of beautiful supportive letters and I've
met a lot of great people here at CH but the critical
angry ones with the double standards for "off topic"
posts should look long at their
hearts--differences...isn't this what made Columbine
and Yugoslavia come apart at the seams? Let's all
learn to be more tolerant and less judgmental, I think
I'll leave this list for now.
