Oh boy, here we go. One of my favorite subjects. Since you asked about
Mexican, I'll count it as marginally chile-related.
First, she must have access to a car if she's been to Salt Lick. For more
BBQ:

Louis Mueller's in Taylor -- 9 AM until they run out. I think it's
Saturday's only.
In Elgin, there's are several places. The names escape me but you can't
miss them.
I'm told Opie's (or Okie's) in Spicewood is supposed to be really good.
Again, a drive.

In town she might try:
    Iron Works (downtown)
Ruby's (on Guadalupe) -- all natural meat, good sides
Ruby's (two locations in town) -- "Worst BBQ in Texas", okay but a good
sauce.

For Mexican:
Fonda San Miguel -- you said expense account, well this is the place.
Interior Mexican, some of the best you'll find in the country. Things like
Chipotle and Pecan Cream soup. Definitely expensive and moderate dressy
(nobody get's real dressed up in Austin).
Ay Chiwawa -- dumb name, good food.
Chuy's (like Bill said) -- good TexMex. Go to the one on Barton Springs.
Enchiladas y Mas -- Tex Mex on Anderson
    Guero's on South Congress
    Jovita's on the same

Other places (outside those two categories):
Kerby Lane for breakfast (expect to wait on weekends)
    Trudy's for breakfast
    Jean-Luc's Bistro (downtown)

That's what comes to mind right now.

She here for SXSW?
