To those who have tried to start Rocoto seeds and have not had much luck,
hang in there. Earlier this year I received some Rocoto seeds and debated
whether or not to even spend the time and energy to try growing them. After
receiving encouraging reports from many people on this list I gave it a
shot. I planted (12) pots with (2) seeds each on the first day of the year,
in my basement, under a 4' growing light. Almost all the seeds germinated
and I thinned them out. I now have (6) nice size plants. I bring them up for
some real sunlight every so often and the other week when the weather was
better I had them outside. I am looking forward to the peppers.
