Having been a farmer for some 61 years when lime is applied to agriculture land it takes some time to do its thing. We apply lime in the fall in order to reap the benefits the following crop year. So Gareth you will most likely experience difficulties this year more than last. Ton Cole - I have read where seeds found in some of the pyramids of Egypt still remain viable, so assume that storage conditions affect more than time. Guy
