The spikes were randomly distributed, but did seem to have a greater
concentration about a third the length of the chile, from the tip.  Go
figure.  He may have eaten one by now, so I can ask him about the heat
level.  And if you want, I will ask him to save the seeds from one of them
and I can send them to you.

Where were the spikes positioned on the chiles?
Were they all from the same plant?
Did they have any unusual flavor or heat?
Did he let any ripen and save seeds to reproduce the trait?
