Title: Hot Tomato-Seafood Stew

     Yield: 6 Se	rvings

   1/2 lb Shrimp, fresh or frozen, shelled
      1 c  Onion, chopped
     1 Tb  Olive oil
     16 oz Canned tomatoes, Italian type or Red Gold, cut up
      8 oz Tomato sauce, pref. homemade
     1 lg  Potato, peeled, chopped
      1    Celery rib, chopped
      1    Bell pepper, medium, chopped
   1-2 Tb  Vietnamese red chile paste with garlic, or to taste
           (if using sauce instead of paste, triple or
                quadruple this.)
     1 ts  Thyme
  1/4 ts  Pepper
     20 oz Whole baby clams and their juice
      2 T  Parsley, snipped

Thaw shrimp if frozen;  halve lengthwise.  In a
large saucepan cook onion and garlic in oil till tender.  Stir in
undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, potato, green pepper, celery,
thyme, pepper, and chile paste. Bring  to boiling;  reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or till vegetables are tender.

Stir in shrimp, clams, and parsley. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 1 to 2 minutes more or till shrimp turn pink.
Serve hot.
