The Riverwalk has a hot sauce store (I can't remember the name) with a pretty impressive selection.
The prices were mostly tourist rip-off, but I got some decent stuff off the bargain table.

As far as restaurants, it's too late to make a reservation at Emerils. There are lots of great
restaurants around the Bourbon street area. I haven't been there in about a year, and have always
gone there on business. Usually I have been going out with business associates and clients, so I
have mainly hit the upscale places. There are a lot of hole-in-the-wall places with spicey
jambalaya, big platters of oysters and lots of other good stuff from the gulf. Everybody has plenty
of hot sauces and spicy dishes.

One of my favorite places is Commander's Palace. This is also an upscale place, and was where Emeril
got started. You could probably get a reservation if you called before you left. It's expensive,
but good.
