<< I enjoy African arts and clothes, and a pilot
friend of mine gave me a 16 oz. bottle Xhosa Umsobo Iyababa (the purple
heat). It is made with beets and chiles, and comes in this great wine
bottle, complete with cork screw cap, and a "head dress" closure adorned
with african beads. It looks so cool, I don't know that I will ever be
able to bring myself to pop the cork! The sauce is made in Cape Town
South Africa. >>

Veronica!

They also make Malawi Gold which is made with chiles, carrots, garlic, sweet
potatoes, onions, cilantro, etc. Then there's Zulu Fire Sauce :-) similar
ingredients and more chiles!

This importer is located in the Seattle region. All are packed with this
great wire and beads. I bought our first bottle up in Vancouver, BC last
summer. Then when Tavolo was selling stuff of at 75% off I snagged a few
bottles! But it's going fast.

So far I haven't found it any place around the SF Bay Area, but hubby is
commuting to Seattle and I am going to sweet talk him into tracking them down!
I have emailed them and silence has answered.
