Do not bring any meat products, Things were bad before the Foot and
mouth disease outbreak in the Uk but will be worse now.. Australia is
Disease Free, Has been and will be as long as we can..If you want to get
thru Customs Quick Declare that you have Chile Seeds on the Agriculture
form and they will ask if you have been on a farm in the last month
reply in the Negative and they probably wont search your Bags, Handy if
your bringing excess Booze or Tobacco..
Which by the way are slightly more expensive that in the USA .. $3.35 US
pack 20 Malboro, Cigars are a Luxury item here, I got nice ones in
Houston 3 yrs ago for 89c US each and to buy similiar ones now cost me
US $6-$7 bucks)- The bonus is that you can Buy Cuban Cigars here and
spend half yr holidays relabeling them..

good..
Ask for Phet Mak Mak when ordering, You will either get a hot meal or
the waitress will think you are propositioning her..Also ask if they
have any Prik Ki nu Suwan Chiles, they are probably a Pequin type small
and hot..
Keep away from most Mexican restaurants as here in Oz they would be on
the same scale as a Taco bell..
Don't be Afraid to visit a Macdonalds if you get homesick they are
generally cleaner and have a better customer base than the ones in the
USA
Go for a Harbour cruise.
Climb the Harbour bridge
Visit the Beaches (Myron should be impressed as I have walked on Daytona
Beach 3 yrs ago) Fwiw We sent shiploads of Beach sand to Hawaii from
Nowra 80 miles south of Sydney..
Enjoy our wines/Beer/etc,
Above all send Aussie Chile-heads an Itinerrary of yr expected travels,
some in Sydney may be able to catch up with you, I myself live 7-8 hrs
drive north of the big smoke and with Gas at 99c per litre/Quart for the
metrically impaired, don't go down there often..
