I can understand that it may have been an unpleasant experience, but I'm
baffled by this. It's hard for me to to believe that food of any heat an
American chain restaurant would ever serve, even as its most challenging
item, could put even a complete non-
chilehead in the hospital. Doesn't it take a pretty extreme amount of
capsaicin to do actual physical damage as opposed to simply causing
discomfort?
Of course, it's possible she was allergic--but then shouldn't she have
taken responsibility for asking about ingredients?
