Around here, it's called 'coniglio da paese' (village rabbit). Usually
served grilled with polenta.
I was given the advice to keep a collar on the cat, as that way any
prospective consumers would assume it was fed with cat food, which
supposedly produces a less tasty product than self-feeding animals.
Of course, up north dog is the favored meat. It's not listed on the menu,
but in certain regions (esp. Appenzell) you can get it at certain
restaurants (and butchers) if you ask for it.
