I don't have a formal recipe, but black bean dip is pretty simple to
make....

Cook about half of a bag of dried black beans with some onion, bacon fat (or
oil), and a minced chile (say, habanero). When tender, drain beans and
reserve cooking liquid (you want the liquid to be as concentrated as
possible, so you shouldn't have much). Place all but about 1/2 cup of beans
into a food processor with a tablespoon or so of white vinegar, some
splashes of a vinegar hot sauce, and a couple of more minced habs -- you can
also season with cumin if you'd like. Puree the mixture, but don't
overprocess. Scoop in 1/2 or so of sour cream and enough cooking liquid to
get the texture you like. Remove to a bowl and stir in the reserved whole
beans and roughly chopped cilantro to taste.

Hope this helps....
