Well, one and all....tomorrow, we, here in Beautiful BC, are being
honored by the arrival of Jim Campbell, and another fire breathing
dragon(fire fighter) from Florida. Marie and I will wine them and dine
them, find them some salmon to take home, and after they have left to
travel on through the beautiful Rocky Mountains, Whistler, then on to
Banff, Calgary and on back to those peppers growing in Indiana(that
where those secret fields are?) we will tell you what we fed them, and
if they survived! Talked to Jim last night in Victoria, BC where they
are staying at the Empress Hotel, probably one of the MOST prestigious
hotels in the British Commonwealth(if that still exists). Marie and I
stayed there on our 40th wedding anniversary, only because the Empress
has a deal! If you can show your wedding certificate, with the year,
you only pay the amount of whatever year it is! So, we were married in
1949, and paid $ 49.00 for the room at the Empress, for two! Gotta ask
Jim tomorrow what they paid....:-) We wont charge them nearly as
much!!!! BIG :-)) So, watch for the next issue of the visit from a guy
whom I admire greatly, and look forward to meeting in person tomorrow.
Cheers, Doug in BC Oh yes, Tony, I did get him some HP sauce, so you
wont have to drag it all the way from New Zealand!!
