I'm just getting caught up on a week's worth of e-mail, and see you have had no response to this
question.  I have used a Lil' Chief ( is that PC, and does anyone care?) to smoke jalapenos and
habaneros for several years with great success.  2 or 3 pans of chips over a day or two will
provide sufficient smoke, and I then finish the drying in a regular dehydrator (less heat).  Works
like a champ.
