I went to college at Kutztown (just north of Bowers) and here's the cleaner
of the hotels in the area (roughly much ranked by distance from Bowers):
West of Kutztown:

Lincoln Motel US-222 & Kutztown Road Kutztown, PA (610) 683-3456 (under 5
miles)
North of Kutztown:
Super 8 Motel, I-78 @ New Smithsville Exit (610) 285-4880 (under 6 miles)
East of Kutztown (all about 7-8 miles):
Hampton Inn 7471 Keebler Way (I-78 & PA-100 [just south of I-78]) (610)

Comfort Inn 7625 Imperial Way (I-78 & PA-100 [just north of I-78]) (610)

Hawthorn Suites Hotel 7720 Main St (I-78 & PA-100 [just north of I-78])

If you stay in one that is west of Kutztown, you would head into Kutztown
and turn right on Noble Street.
If you stay in one that is east of Kutztown, you would head into Kutztown on
US-222 and turn left on Noble Street.
If you stay at the Super-8, ask them for directions to US-222 (I know the
back way, but don't know the street names... major way would be to take
I-78 West to PA-737 South into Kutztown, right onto Main Street, then left
onto Noble).
