[CH] Scotch/Chiles/smokiness

Interesting point you have brought up.  Hubby loves the smokiness of both 
Scotch (Bowmore & Glenlivet, plus another one I don't recall) and Chipotles 
and Smoked Habanaros.

Me thinks I opt for using a dark Rum, but also try Dewars for a batch.  He'll 
be home tonight so I best wait and let him have the final word on which 
bottle I tip for Chile brew.  I am a wine  & Champagne drinker.  LOL

<< This thread got me to thinking of why I like some Whiskys in particular 
over
others, and the common denominator seems to be the amount of 'peat-iness' in
the drink. Two favourites for this are the Glenlivet, and probably my fave,
Bowmore. Both are very peaty and give the whisky a wonderful 'smoky' taste,
which is how I like my chiles, very smoked...chipotle being my favourite at
the moment. >>
