I'm a little late on these threads, but the rain has been really horrible! Sun's out today so my brain can work again!

One of my customers uses Khatsa Fire Sauce on his oatmeal. It should be available in lots of places around the country or I can help. It's a Tibetan hot sauce made by a Tibetan family here in the Seattle area. The vinegar isn't a dominant part of the flavor.

As for apples, I learned this from some friends who grow chiles and apples in Eastern Washington: they sprinkle their chile spice blend on apples. Works great! I've also used Cajun spices. This list will want to use Jim's apple-smoked habs or Calvin's blend or CaJohn's Fire Dust...
And now, back to the rain!
