Hi George,
Snip: "And a question for all growers in areas that have experience
drought or near drought this year... have your chiles been noticeably
hotter??"
I normally "stress" peppers grown in 5 gal. pails at mature level by
holding back water until leaves wilt slightly. This year I had a hell of a
time just trying to keep up with water requirements of *all* plants in
pails. I'm with many on list that are reasonable heat level pepper eaters,
but this year all peppers seem hotter. Next year I'm gonna' take a nursery
supplied Jal & stress it from day 1 & see what happens.
To answer your question succinctly...YES!!!
Paul
