If you leave it in normal orientation, you can use it as a terrarium for
any potted plants which can fit inside, by simply covering it with
something/anything, e.g. piece of glass, cardboard, plastic wrap, whatever
(translucent lets light in, so is better of course).  Leaving it this way,
you can adjust the top to vent out moisture, not to mention add water if
ever needed or do whatever is needed to take care of the inevitable aphids
and other bugs you will get in there, all of which otherwise will be very
very difficult to deal with, with a heavy fragile tank turned upside down
atop all.
