Lew Wheeling and I are competing this week-end in the World Championship
CASI (Chili Appreciation Society International) Chili Cook-off in Terlingua
Texas.
I was wondering if there are any list members going?
Last year Lew made it to the quarter finals, which is pretty good
considering that there were 335 chili cooks. In order to compete you have to
be fairly skilled, as you need to get points by placing in regional events.
I have found that most chili heads tend to be chile heads as well. So if
there are any CASI events in your area, you would have a good time and have
an opportunity to sample some killer chili.
CASI is a no-profit outfit that raises millions for various charities by
putting on chili cook-offs.
