[CH] Growing chiles once again, and a question re: Red Savina seeds...

Hiya folks.

After a long - nay, loooooong layoff (from early 1996 until now) - I've
resubscribed to the list 'cause for the first time in my life I have my
own greenhouse and I'm keen to grow some tasty, hot chiles...

The climate here (on the coast in Fife, near Edinburgh) is pretty
uninspiring - we're hovering around -5C to +4C outside, and in the
greenhouse I'm getting a range of -1C to 18C (in the weak sunlight), with
soil temperatures of a pretty constant 4C to 5C right now. So, too early
perhaps to start chiles perhaps but I'm keen to get prepared.

I'm planning plenty of regular habs and bonnets, 'penos, cayenne and
suchlike, along with regular veg (garlic, spring onions, herbs etc.). One
thing I'd like to try is the infamous Red Savina, but though I've had a
hunt around Google, I couldn't find a source of Savina seeds. Are these
readily available, or do I have to make an offering to the chile gods
(sacrificial goat? nah, the veggie wife-to-be would object ;-)

So, any sources for these (or other interesting and unusual) seeds,
preferably in the UK?

Also, while I'm here, does anyone have any tips for the greenhouse chile
gardener? Such as when to start seeds, what kind of temperature controls
to use, etc.?

Ta very muchly,

John in dreich Fife...
