Hi All,
Yesterday I decided to try the easy sauce from the list recently. So I
picked a couple of dozen Red Rocotos from 3 year old bushes that they have
become along my back fence.
There must be hundreds of fruit in various stages of ripeness.
I picked the last of the limes from the tree which is now finished fruiting
until August.. handful of this seasons Garlic. Deseeded and chopped them up
and put it all in a food processor with some salt and vinegar.
The result is as hot as any Habenero sauce I have made.
Some of the seeds that I got from Paul are looking good eg Turkish Cayenne,
Maeskapous. Pubelo. They have grown into healthy plants and lots of fruit
coming along.
On the health front. I have to stop some of the tablets as they may be
causing kidney problems. Blood test every couple of weeks to monitor things.
Otherwise I am feeling fine and ready for a short holiday to the South
Island in March. I may even get in a little Salmon fishing
:-)

first pod from this plant was hot, but not as hot as my red rocotos and
