[CH] New Experience

I figured that, being older than dirt, I would not have too many new
experiences left.  But, in Anamosa, Colorado this past week-end I was able
to buy/eat my very first "roasted on the spot" chiles...Big Jims they
happened to be...right from the roaster.  YUM!  I had read all of you
talking about the great Hatch chile roast in the fall and making or buying
roasters to do them at home.  This it he first time I've seen it done...I
only "roast" them under the broiler, a few at a time.

So..I can now die happy (but hopefully not for another 30 years).  The smell
of the roasting chiles was a delicious as all of you have described it.
