Carp said: "One is the woods are generally in a population balance with rodents and animals and relocating animals to a balanced ecosystem probably is a sentence of misery for something anyway." and "A second reason is I personally don't want any animals moving into my patch of land that are already trained in the art of looting trashcans and chile-patches." ============================================================================ ==== I agree 100% with the above. Chipmunks may be cute rats, but they are still rats. The only solution is a permanent one. The only way to use the humane traps is to humanely dunk them and their chipmunk contents under water. It's all part of the evolutionary process, survival of the fittest. Chipmunks/rats are not fit to be in my garden, and I will not give mine to anyone else. Caught one in my Black Hole (tm) trap this morning, leaving dozens of chiles to live. Frank
