I love chile paste and it is really hot YET my DH loves it too. * Exported from MasterCook * Oriental Lemon Basil Noodles Recipe By : RisaG Serving Size : 2 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Chiles Main Dish Pasta Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3/4 pkg whole wheat linguine 1 cup scallions (green & white parts) -- minced 1/2 cup lemon basil -- julienne 1 sm handful purslane 2 tbsp tamari soy sauce -- * see note 1 tsp chinese chile paste -- ** see note 2 tsp vegetable oil 2 tsp roasted sesame oil -- Kadoya brand prefer. 1/2 tsp black pepper 3 tbsp lemon juice Place a big pot of water on the stove and bring to a boil. Add linguine and cook according to package directions. When pasta is done, place in a large bowl and toss with the scallions, lemon basil, lemon juice, tamari sauce, pepper and hot chile paste (or oil, or flakes). Heat a wok over high heat. Add the corn oil and sesame oil. When the oil is hot, but not smoking, add the noodles and sauce. Stir-fry in the hot oil for 5 minutes, tossing frequently.
