Hello good people!  Stu and I should have known it would be a great day when we drove under double arches of rainbows in misty Indiana as the sun rose behind us!  We forgot it was an hour earlier at OF than in Cincinnati, but the folks we met at the campfire at 8:30 their time were warm as ever.  

How great to see old friends and to meet new ones!  Jim, you've done what we call "a mitzvah" by making that field a place where friends meet.  Thanks for EVERYTHING, EVERYONE!  Please come back (like we will) next September from Ohio and California, Texas and Indiana, Kentucky and Massachusetts, Wisconsin and New York, Tennessee and Michigan.  But next year, Stu and I would also love to again see List friends from New Jersey, Canada, Idaho, Missouri and Pennsylvania, and maybe meet even MORE far-flung World Chileheads!   

Today the kitchen is decorated with red, yellow, orange, green and purple pods.  The dehydrator is already doing its work, and we're savoring memories of a brief but magical time in a squishy meadow surrounded by orchards, cornfields, pumpkins, and those rows of chiles arching away over the hill...
