Lots of tomatoes up through July, then they stopped. Early Girl, Champion, Celebrity all stopped producing. Roma simply died. Methinks it was because the night time low temperatures were quite a bit over 70F starting late July and continuing into September. Would that be a factor? Would that also affect chiles? I had a few NewMex/Anaheim type chiles, which I was counting on to provide a lot of bulk in salsa, suddenly die in August/September, for no apparent reason, while the rest of them, hot and sweet both, carried on.
