Hello people,
Nice to see some interest in Pete's Hydrohot. Unfortunately we are
limited to about 200 stores in the New England area and of course my web
site at www.peteshydrohot.com We have recently come out with a mild version
of Pete's Hydrohot called Northern guy named in honor of my brothers who are
big and tough and hot sauce wimps at the same time.
Speaking of dogs and habaneras, I think Mick from
www.Katoproductions.com has the best story. The other day we were shooting
the breeze while we were setting up a little hydroponic NFT prototype for
his back yard and he was telling me about his dog Kato who is the symbol of
Mick's famous island fish sauce. I guess Kato was interviewed on the food
channel because the dog will down a whole habanera or scotch bonnet and not
even flinch. And this is not due to Kato's obedience to Mick. He will sit at
attention and catch a hab from just about anybody.
I think that hot sauce tolerance in genetic. Or maybe there is a hot
sauce chromosome in the back of the brain. Right next to the one for sex
drive or the need to drink an adult beverage now and then. I once met a 4
year boy who was addicted to Marie Sharp's mild. The mother thought this was
due to her hot sauce intensive diet while she was pregnant. In my own
experience I can recall my father shaking his head with disgust as I put
just about every condiment known to man on my beans and hot dogs every
Saturday night. Then when I was old enough he brushed off the dust off of
those coveted family manuscripts created by my
great,great,great,great,great,great,great,great,great,great,great,great
grand-daddy and we got to work on Pete's Hydrohot. The rest is history.
I really enjoy this list! Thank you
        Pete Ware
