I don't know what others do but I have made spicy popcorn a few times - drizzle fresh popcorn with butter and then sprinkle with favorite spicy seasoning - I've made cajun corn with a cajun seasoning mixture, a southwestern one and an indian version. Don't remember the amount of seasoning per amount of popcorn. You have to play a bit to get the right amounts. Maybe someone has that information.
