Thank you, Matt! I can't wait to try your recipe. Just happen to have some of Jim's Smoked Red Savina I can use too. The savina doesn't disappear as fast as the chipotle because, well, yowza, it's HOT! Yup, I do like the chipotle en adobe mixure pureed -- adds so nicely to mayo, soup, scrambled eggs, or to slather on toast, bagels, etc. Tonight I tried dusting some peanuts with the ground chipotle but couldn't make chile stick, even after buttering and heating the peanuts. I did sneeze a lot! Not such a bad way to clear the sinuses, ay? <laff> Tomorrow, I am going to try my hand at making peanut brittle and lace it liberally with the chipotle powder.
