I'd recommend a Weber Smokey Mountain. You can take out the middle section and use it as a grill, or you can keep it assembled and use it as a smoker. IMHO, it's one of the best deals around for smokers. You can get one for about $180 and it turns out some very good Q. I know it's not exactly what you asked about (since it doesn't have an offset firebox), but it's something to keep in mind just in case.
