[CH] Thai Piquin? (also a question on Chiltepin/Chiltepe)

I've got some (dried) peppers that a friend gave me last year (and some
growing from seeds planted this year---and they finally started making
peppers today...YEAH!). He told me they were called "Thai piquins".
However, I've yet to find any reference to this pepper on the net. Has
anyone else ever heard of a pepper by that name? They are small and
round(-ish) like a chiltepin or chile piquin, and pack a nice bit of
heat for such a small pepper.

Can anyone provide any information on these? (In other words, is that
a real variety of pepper, or are they perhaps just chiltepins or
something along those lines that got mis-named?)

On a similar subject, I bought some TX Chiltepins from the Chile Woman,
and her labels (and web site) all refer to them as Chiltepe ... I've
asked her this, but never got a response---is Chiltepe just another
spelling for Chiltepin? FWIW (info), the plants have just started to
produce peppers in the last week---they're all black and oval-shaped now,
but will ripen to red and more or less perfectly round (I grew up with
TX Chiltepins, and it's a very nice memory---I'm looking forward to it no
longer being just a memory!).

Thanks,

PS: I'm not sure on the spelling of piquin for the Thai piquins---it
might be pequin instead (I'm not even sure what the difference is,
     to be honest).
