Hi all I've just rejoined the list after a 5 year break, good to be back! I'm in the early stages of planning my crop for the warmer months (mid-winter here) & many Australian seed companies are offering a new variety they are calling "matata." I was just wondering what I can expect, heat & flavour wise from this variety, has anyone heard of it? Here's a pic & small description http://edenseeds.com.au/content/seeditem.asp?id=757 Also, I want to try & grow some wild tepins, many places are offering them, yet I've been told they have generally been hybridised to lessen heat. Is there anyone in Australia willing to spare me some wild-strain tepin seeds? Unfortunately I have thrown out most of my stores, but found some Bishops Crown/Xmas Bells? seeds, Lombaks(I think, long wrinkly sweet cayenne types from Asian grocer) and about 6 Caterina seeds(few years old) 2day I can swap. Just to add, I'm also going to grow rocotos for the first time, I think Adelaide weather will be perfect. Same deal with rocotos, I am after the red variety, yet fear I may get orange from a supplier, just like when I was given orange habs instead of sativas. It'd be great if anyone can help me out!
