Hi all. Been trying for 2 weeks to get back on the Chile-Heads list and finally did it. Hi! I was on a long road trip for 17 days and have returned 2 weeks ago. Didn't eat a lot of chile-fied food on the trip but I did eat very well. I want to thank Myron for sending me the alternative addy to send my authorization code to and it finally worked! He got a message from Mike Bowers saying that the majordomo addy gets filled with spam and to use the chile-heads-request email addy. So I did. Yeah. It worked. Took a day but it worked. Also, want to thank Mary Anne and Doug for posting my recipes in the last week. I've been going nuts trying to get my Tonight's Dinner recipes posted. So, you will soon see those appear again. I am soooo happy to be back. On to the topic of chiles... An update on my garden - I planted 8 plants a few weeks ago and then went on vacation. While I was gone, it rained cats and dogs and my tomato plants went nuts. They grew OVER the chile plants, which were very small. So the chiles did not get any sun whatsoever. Now that I am back, I have staked the tomatoes so that they do not cover the chiles. They should now get sun, WHEN we have SUN. Right now we are having clouds and possible thunderstorms. The plants I planted are... Cappuccino Habanero (from Bowers) Purple Leaf Pequin (from Bowers) Yellow Mushroom (from Dewi) 2 overwintered chiles - 1 Fish pepper 2 mystery pepper The ones in the pots are doing better than the ones in the ground. The ones in the pots have buds and small chiles. Very small. I wish it would get very sunny. Today was very hot and humid but got cloudy. We'll see when I can actually harvest - I'm figuring October? RisaG, thrilled to finally be back __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! Mail - 100MB free storage! http://promotions.yahoo.com/new_mail
